I'm a video game designer and programmer, currently working at Orthrus Studios on a fantasy city-builder. With strong coding skills, a background in art, experience with iteration and playtesting, and a focus on gameplay systems, I can offer technical and system design skills, alongside an appreciation for UX.
My design methods are analytical, with emphasis on formal techniques. I attempt to diagnose issues in a game with every new iteration, while invoking the skills of the whole team to try and find the best of many solutions. I'm a strong advocate of game design patterns and a unified vocabulary; advantages which I believe enable my communication and ability to solve problems.
I love what games can do, and nothing engages me more than making them.
